Pumpkin Patch 10/28

We had the pleasure of joining our friends, LeeAnn and Brian, and their kids for their annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Mia was a little under the weather(major barfing at the restaurant we all met at), so I wasn't sure how our trip was going to go. Rick & I figured we would head to the pumpkin patch with them and see how she did, if she was sick again we would head back home.

Luckily, Mia didn't get sick again, but she definitely wasn't her normal smiley self. Since Mia loves being outside and adores Rylie, I think she had a good time. LeeAnn bought matching dresses for the girls to wear for pictures(and a tie for Bryce) and they were adorable! To see LeeAnn's summary of the day and the pictures that she took of all the kiddos visit her blog. Here are a few of the pictures I took that day(my camera battery died almost immediately so these are taken with my cell phone):

Pumpkin Patch 10/21

Shelly and I took Mia to her first Pumpkin Patch at HorsePower for Kids October 21st. Her admission was free and mine was very reasonable and included a hot dog and soda. All of the money goes right back to helping local kids, so it's a worthy cause as well. Mia really wasn't interested in the animals and couldn't go in the bounce house or ride a pony, but she had a blast playing with the pumpkins. We met Sara and Amelia there, Amelia is four months older than Mia and was much more mobile. It was a fun day for all! If you want to see all of the pictures, click here. Here are some of my favorite pictures from our adventure:

Passed out on the way was a good day!

Fall Festival 2012

Mia's daycare had a Fall festival in October, the infant room was asked to dress up as farm animals as that was what they were currently learning about. I found an adorable little pig costume, so that's what Mia went as. We also had our first "homework" to do. A paper went home with suggestions for fall projects, I tossed it thinking that they surely didn't expect six month olds to do this. Well, two days before it was due her teacher reminded me that the project was due in two days. What?! Crap. So, I rushed to Target and bought art supplies. Here is Mia's first home art project:

The trunk is her hand and arm, she scrunched up her hand so the branches aren't exactly fanning out, haha. Lots of different colored messy fingers made this picture possible. Obviously I had to put some of the finishing touches on it, we had a lot of fun!

Now what I know you've really been waiting for, the piggy pictures!

Heading home, she had a great time!

Fall Mini Photo Shoot

Mid October I had Mia's pictures taken by Natalya from Heaven Sent Portraits. I think she did an awesome job, here is a link to the pictures. Here are some of my favorites:

Mia's First School Pictures

It was so strange to be completing a school picture form, picking a background, deciding what she should wear. Wow, I'm a Mom! But wait, school pictures for a four month old? Mia's daycare has professional pictures done twice a year. You all know how much I love pictures, so it should be no surprise to you that I bought the whole package...and for those that know me well, it won't surprise you that they are all still in the envelope they came in. Maybe since she just had her second set taken I will actually cut them and send some out.

Happy girl!

My favorite!

Cute, but wish they would've taken her socks off.

Long time, no blog...

Where to begin? I apologize to my friends and family that don't have Facebook as you haven't been able to see very many pictures of Mia. Now we are a week away from Mia's first birthday and I never blogged about her six month pictures, Halloween, our trip to Chicago, Avery's birth, our trip to TX for Abbie & Ella's birthday party, our trip to TX for Becky's wedding and so much more. Wow, I have quite a bit to catch up on. For those of you who have already seen or heard what I will be saying over the next several blogs, more Mia for you!

Here are some of my favorite September photos, it's crazy to see how much different she looks now!
