Dr Appointments

Monday I had an OB appointment, part of my appointment was having my first NST(Non-Stress Test).  For those that don't know, this involves placing two belts on your belly. One belt is to listen to the baby's heartbeat and the other is to monitor contractions/movement.  I was given a little button to press whenever I felt Mia move.  They are basically checking for reactivity of the heart rate in response to movement of the baby.  Of course Mia was having a big snooze fest at the time, so they ended up giving me some juice and crackers to try to wake her up.  That did the trick, because about 30 minutes later she started bopping around in there for them.   I was glad that they used the juice/cracker method vs the buzzer method LeeAnn told me about!  Everything looked great and I was told to stop taking my Lovenox as we're getting close to my due date.  Yay for no more shots!  I go back next Wednesday for another NST.

Tuesday I had my last Perinatologist appointment, yes I said "last", I have graduated!  I went in for my 36 week growth scan and I am happy to say that Mia is right on track.  Apparently she just had her growth spurt early and that's why she was measuring large at our last growth scan.  Currently, they are estimating her at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and she is in the 55th percentile.  It was great to see her again and I have a couple of pictures to share.  The next time we see our little girl will be on her birthday!

Here is Mia at 36 weeks and 3 days:
