Look Who's Kickin'

Saturday we went and had a 3D ultrasound for fun at Look Who's Kickin'. Amy and Shelly went with us along with Grandpa Harry! He was amazed at the technology available today and he said he will treasure that experience forever.  Mia is quite the little contortionist and apparently likes to suck on her toes.  I have to admit, the quality is not as good as at the Peri's office but it was wonderful to see Mia again!  We did get a couple of pretty good pics and the video of the entire "show" so that was nice!  Here are a couple of the pics:

OB Appointments

Monday I had an OB appointment, it was pretty uneventful. I did find out that I passed my three hour glucose test, thank goodness!!  Everything else checked out ok as well.

Tuesday I had what I thought was going to be my last Perinatologist appointment.  We went in for my 30 week growth scan and I am happy to report that Mia is growing quite well, perhaps a little too well, lol.  Her current weight is 4.4 lbs which is in the 75th percentile.  Her measurements are all up there too, overall she is currently measuring about two weeks ahead.  In the past she was measuring two to three days ahead.  I'd say she had a bit of a growth spurt!  So I will be going back to the Perinatologist at 36 weeks for another growth scan to see how she's looking in there.  Here are a couple of pics from the appointment:

Week of 1/29...

It's been a crazy busy week, so I'm a little behind.  Better late than never though, right?!

On Sunday, January 29th I went to Crib 4 Life in Brandon and ordered the nursery furniture. We selected Baby's Dream, the Renaissance collection.  The solid back crib, double dresser and five drawer chest will be delivered the last weekend in February. Here is a picture of the crib:

On Monday, January 30th I had an OB appt.  This was a fun one! I got to have my iron checked, get my RhoGAM shot and do my one hour glucose challenge.  My iron was fine, the shot didn't hurt a bit(despite the nurse telling me it would burn...hello, I have daily Lovenox shots...those are not comfy) BUT I failed my glucose challenge by one point. My OB wants to see 130 or less and my glucose was 131, I said, "Geez, if I have to fail it should be by a bunch not just one point, how aggravating", she didn't seem to find the humor in that...oops.  The three hour glucose test is now in my future.  We also decided that at 35/36 weeks I will go off of Lovenox, go back on baby aspirin and will have NSTs done weekly.  So no scheduled induction, yippee!  Of course knowing my luck, I will have to be induced anyway, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

On Thursday Shelly had her nursing pinning ceremony! She is officially Shelly Grizzle, GPN. I just had to put that in here because we are so proud of her!

Friday was a big day for the family, Joanna and Carlos welcomed my niece into the world.  Abigail Grace weighed in at 5 lbs, 13 oz and was 20 inches long. Congratulations guys!

Also on Friday Rick's nephew Jeff and his friend Mark came down from Kansas for their annual golf outing.  We went to the Dunedin brewery and then to Blur...a fun night was had by all!

Saturday Rick and I went to Morton Plant for our hospital tour.  I just can't believe we're getting so close!
